POPIA NOTICE
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ACT 4 OF 2013 Riverside Hockey Club, acting as the responsible party for ECC2026, collects and processes your personal information solely for the purpose of administering the tournament. Your data is stored securely in Google Workspace and is never sold or shared with third parties without your explicit consent. You have the right to access, correct or delete your information at any time by contacting hockey@riversidesports.co.za.
Each consent in these forms is independent, you may opt in or out of each separately. Required consents gate participation. Marketing consents are fully optional.
Who collects your data?
Riverside Hockey Club, acting as the responsible party for the Elite Club Challenge 2026, collects and processes your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Contact: hockey@riversidesports.co.za
Why we collect it
We collect personal information solely for the purposes of administering the ECC2026 tournament, managing player and club registrations, ensuring participant safety through accurate medical records, producing event content and marketing materials, and reporting aggregated anonymised data to official partners and sponsors.
How long we keep it?
Your information is retained for 24 months following the conclusion of ECC2026, after which it is securely deleted unless you have opted in to receive future event communications.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights contact hockey@riversidesports.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at inforeg@justice.gov.za or 010 023 5207.
