WHY RIVERSIDE?
At Riverside Hockey, we firmly believe in nurturing the potential of every young player, fostering their growth into valued club members across all levels of the game. Unlike many others, we refrain from grading teams until the senior hockey level, emphasizing personalized attention to each individual’s technical, tactical, mental, and physical skills.
Our commitment extends to providing professional, state-of-the-art facilities, including water-based artificial turf for optimal training conditions. Players from various schools converge to play alongside dedicated peers from the region, fostering a diverse and supportive environment.
With a target of one qualified coach per eight players, our training emphasizes small group sessions to ensure individualized coaching and development. Drawing from our affiliations with top international clubs and associations, our training sessions are influenced by cutting-edge global trends in player development.
Our coaches, experienced and closely monitored for attention to detail, bring regional expertise and passion to every session. Riverside Hockey Club is synonymous with excellence in Durban, KZN, and South Africa, having groomed numerous provincial and international players, some of whom now lead our men’s and women’s 1st teams and contribute as coaches in our Junior program.
Participating in Riverside Hockey is both fun and challenging, offering a unique youth program that integrates match techniques and tactics into every session.
