Mixed Social 7s Hockey League

The Riverside Mixed Social 7s is back, bringing six weeks of fast, fun and seriously social mixed hockey to Riverside Hockey Club.

Whether you’re looking for a bit of competitive banter, a chance to get back on the turf, or simply a good excuse to get your mates together, there’s a place for you at Riverside Social 7s.

The league runs across two dedicated divisions: Adults on Thursday nights and Juniors on Friday nights, with limited team spaces available.

Mixed Social 7’s Rules

This is mixed hockey with a twist. It’s hockey, but not quite as you know it.

• Teams have 8 players, with 7 on the pitch at any one time.
• There are no goalkeepers, no hitting and no overheads.
• For the Adult League, teams play with 4 ladies and 3 men, or 3 ladies and 4 men, with only ladies able to score.
• The Junior League follows the same mixed format, with 4 girls and 3 boys, or 3 girls and 4 boys, and only girls able to score.

Teams are R3,500 per team for the six-week league.
